About :
A fully welded ball valve is a type of ball valve where the valve body is completely welded without any joints or seams. This design provides superior strength, durability, and leak-tight performance. Unlike traditional ball valve that may have multiple components bolted or screwed together, a fully welded ball valve is a single, solid piece, which eliminates potential leak points and enhances the overall integrity of the valve. These valves are typically crafted from high-grade materials such as stainless steel, carbon steel, or other durable alloys to withstand harsh operating conditions. The valve’s key components include a single, welded valve body that encapsulates the internal parts. Inside, a spherical ball with a hole through its center rotates to control the flow. The stem connects the actuator to the ball, facilitating its rotation while being sealed to prevent leaks. The valve seats, ensure a tight seal when the ball is in the closed position.

Working Mechanism:
A fully welded ball valve operates in a manner akin to a conventional ball valve. The ball rotates when the actuator is engaged because it rotates the stem. The valve is open and allows fluid to pass through when the ball’s hole lines up with the flow channel. The hole is perpendicular to the flow direction and the valve closes, obstructing the flow, when the ball is rotated 90 degrees. The ball and stem rotate when the handle or actuator is moved. The ball’s hole lines up with the flow path when it rotates, minimizing obstructions to the fluid’s passage thereby opening the valve. For closing the valve, ball is moved back by rotating the actuator in the opposite direction. The ball’s hole becomes perpendicular to the flow path, sealing against the seats and stopping the flow completely.
