Non Slam Swing Check Valve
Speciality Valve is hailed as the leading Non Return Valve Suppliers in India. From Mumbai to Dubai, our valves are relied upon by industries worldwide, reflecting our commitment to quality.
About:
A non slam check valve is a type of check valve specifically designed to prevent the slamming or hammering effects often associated with traditional check valves. These effects occur when the valve rapidly closes, causing a sudden stop in the fluid flow that can lead to pressure surges, noise, and potential damage to the piping system. Non slam check valves address these issues by ensuring a smoother and more controlled closing mechanism, thereby eliminating the water hammer effect. The goal of a non slam check valve’s design is to lessen the sudden closure that results in water hammer. The valve body is usually constructed from robust materials that can tolerate a range of environmental factors and high pressures, such as bronze, ductile iron, or stainless steel. The main moving component of the valve that permits flow in one direction and restricts it in the other is the disc or poppet. Usually spring-loaded, this disc allows for a slow, controlled closure. Because it supplies the force required to return the disc to its closed position without slamming, the spring mechanism is essential. Furthermore, when the disc is closed, the valve seat is made to offer a tight seal that stops any backflow.
Non Return Valve: Basic Concept
A non return valve, also known as a check valve, is a valve that allows fluid to flow in one direction only, preventing backflow. These valves are critical in many systems to ensure that the medium (liquid or gas) flows in the correct direction and does not reverse, which could cause contamination, damage, or inefficiency.
