A thermodynamic steam trap is a device that automatically releases both water and non-condensable gases while minimizing steam loss. It works well in high-temperature and high-pressure conditions. This trap is durable and operates simply, harnessing the energy from flash steam. Its functionality is based on a single moving part, a disc within the trap’s chamber. As steam begins to flow, the disc is lifted, leading to the cooling and release of water from beneath it.

This water exits through three openings. As hot water enters the chamber, it lowers the pressure and creates high-speed steam. The steam is confined within an upper chamber, exerting pressure that counterbalances the pressure beneath the disc. Over time, the elevated pressure from the water causes the disc to rise, initiating a continuous cycle
