Working of Wafer Butterfly Valve:

The wafer butterfly valve is opened by rotating the disc 90° in the passage of flow. When opening, the disc assumes the position perpendicular to the flow, and flow flows freely through it. In the closed condition, then the disc becomes perpendicular to flow and seals at the seat closing off the flow. The two pipeline flanges clamp the valve, providing it with a leakproof and secure mounting.
